I’m Dayne, a Calgary based musician, creator and one third of the country trio NewLaw. I sing, write, play guitar, piano and drums, and share the songs and moments that feel worth keeping.
This space is the more personal side of the story: stripped back covers, music I love, everyday life and whatever I’m chasing next. Nothing overproduced. Just good songs and an open door.

The prices in this guide are baseline rates and general guidelines, not hard limits. Every event is different, so I am always open to discussing pricing to find a setup that works. No email is a waste of time. I would love to play every event if we can make it work.

CHAPTER.
Long before I started sharing music under my own name, I was making it with my brothers. Cayd, Ty and I began playing together as kids, and around 2012 I joined them on drums. After our family lived through the 2013 Calgary flood, we found our first real stories to write, and NewLaw took shape.
Since then, we’ve released three EPs, taken our music across Western Canada, charted on Canadian country radio, appeared on America’s Got Talent and worked in Nashville with #1 songwriters. In 2022, our fans carried us to Country Music Alberta’s Fans’ Choice Award. NewLaw is where I learned to write, perform and keep choosing music together.
